What’s the Best British Sports Car?

Great Britain is famous for making fun-to-drive sports cars. Some of the most fantastic-driving coupes and convertibles around have been built by British companies, giving the car world years of enjoyment behind the wheel.

I’m partial to the Lotus Elise. Not the supercharged one either, just the base, naturally aspirated version. It’s not complex or hard to understand—it’s just a tiny mid-engine car with a Toyota engine in the back. It’s not extremely fast, but once you take a turn for the first time, you’ll understand why the market for the Elise has remained steady for all these years. Hopefully once the new one arrives stateside, prices will finally start to come down.

Now we want to know: What’s your favorite British sports car? It doesn’t have to be specifically new or old, or even known for being fun. It just has to be a fun British sport car you enjoy. Let us know in the comments below.
